How can I test my campaigns?
Before launching your outreach, it’s important to test your campaigns to ensure everything is working as expected—like sender account setup, personalization tokens, formatting, and content.
Option 1 – Send a Test Email
When starting your outreach, you’ll see a test email option at the bottom of the contact modal:
This will queue test emails for sending. You can then review how each email appears with personalization and formatting applied.
Test emails are queued like normal ones. You can check the “Next Send” time in Email History to see when they’ll be delivered.
Option 2 – Start and Pause
This method is helpful for testing sequences, especially follow-up logic:
- Run a search and select a single test lead.
- Start the outreach as usual.
- Immediately go to the Campaigns tab and pause the campaign.
Because LeadSwift throttles emails, you’ll have time to pause the campaign before anything is sent. From there, you can:
- Review all queued emails in the campaign
- Check personalization, AI-generated content, Liquid syntax, spintax, etc.
- Edit any unsent emails if you notice issues
Once you're confident everything looks correct, you can unpause the campaign or make changes to templates/sequences before sending to the rest.
Important: To avoid receiving hundreds of test emails, it’s best to select a single test lead instead of bulk testing all leads at once.
