How can I track emails?

You can track both email replies and email opens in LeadSwift by configuring the relevant settings.

Email Replies

To track email replies:

  1. Go to the Accounts tab in Email Settings.
  2. Add your email account via IMAP.
  3. Enable the "Track replies" option.
  4. Press "Test" to confirm it's working.

Once enabled, each email you send will include a unique message ID. When a recipient replies, the system will automatically detect it and mark the email as "Replied."

You can optionally unsubscribe leads when they reply to prevent further follow-ups.

Email Opens

Tracking email opens requires adding an invisible image to your emails. When the recipient loads the image, it registers as an "open." However, this requires setting up a custom tracking domain.

To enable email open tracking:

  1. Log in to your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, Name.com).
  2. Create a CNAME record (e.g., reports.yourdomain.com) that points to: cname.watchemails.com.
  3. Enter the CNAME record in your Email Settings.
  4. Press "Test" to confirm it's working.

Note:
  • The tracking links will only be included in emails sent after this configuration.
  • You can track email status by clicking the email in your Email History.
  • We generally do not recommend including links in cold email outreach as it may impact deliverability.
