How can I use AI?

You can use the power of AI to supercharge your outreach.

This includes humanizing business names (i.e. changing "ACME Corp" to "ACME"), cleaning data points (writing "no rating" instead of 0.00), personalizing messages (i.e. "Go Lakers!" for those in Los Angeles), spinning every email for uniqueness, and so much more.

To use:

1. Create an OpenAI key here

Important: Add a credit balance of at least $5 in your OpenAI account here. You should ensure that you have appropriate usage limits set in your account. We recommend disabling auto recharge to prevent overages.

2. Add the OpenAI key to your LeadSwift settings here

3. In LeadSwift, click the "Use AI" button next to the subject or body where you'd like to use AI

4. Enter your instructions in the "Modification Prompt" section, and press "Preview" a few times to view sample outputs

Example Scenario:

Assume you have company names like FooBar LLC in your results. You want to use a subject like:

"Let's fix {Business Name}'s {Google Rating} Google rating!"

However, using the tokens as-is will result in recipients receiving a subject like:

"Let's fix FooBar LLC's 2.30 Google rating!"

Instead, a more natural phrasing would be:

"Let's fix FooBar's 2.30 Google rating!"

We can use AI to achieve this, while also spinning the text to improve deliverability.

AI Prompt Example:

This is the subject of an email to a potential client offering my services. Don't spin the company or individual's name. Modify the business name to be human-like if needed, i.e. remove company type suffix. Then, spin the rest of the text. Respond with the rewritten text without quotes, etc.

5. If you aren't satisfied with any of the outputs, fine-tune the instructions further

6. Press "Apply" once you are satisfied with all outputs

LeadSwift will now apply your AI prompt to each email when queuing them for sending.

You can always review your queued emails in the Email History page.

Writing a whole sequence with AI

Rather than starting from a blank page, the AI Writer can draft an entire multi-step sequence from a short description of your offer.

To use:

1. Go to Outreach › Sequences and create or edit a sequence

2. Press the "AI Writer" button at the top of the page

3. Describe what you offer, who you're targeting, the tone you want, and how many emails the sequence should have

4. Press "Generate"

The AI writes a subject and body for every step, with follow-ups that reference the previous email and use your personalization tags. Review and edit each step, then save.

Important: Generating replaces the steps currently in the sequence. Always read the result before sending — treat it as a strong first draft, not a finished campaign.

Improving an email you've already written

If you already have copy and simply want it tightened, use "Improve with AI" in the email editor. It rewrites the subject and body to be shorter, clearer and less likely to trigger spam filters.

Your personalization tags such as {Business Name} and any spintax such as {{RANDOM:Hi|Hello}} are preserved. If the AI does drop any of them, the rewrite is discarded automatically and your original email is left untouched.

Checking for spam words

Press "Check spam words" in the email editor to scan your subject and body for wording that commonly triggers spam filters, such as "free", "guarantee" or "act now".

You'll get a risk rating along with the exact words flagged, plus warnings for things like excessive exclamation marks or ALL-CAPS text. Rephrasing the flagged wording is one of the easiest ways to improve inbox placement.
