How should I perform searches?

As with anything, a little bit of planning can go a long way in terms of the quality of your results.

Before we start, it is important to understand how LeadSwift works. In short, we aggregate leads from various local business sources – including Google Maps, Google Places, YellowPages, Yelp, Bing, and Facebook. While the quality of these sources vary, Google Maps typically reigns supreme. So, let's plan around that.

Assume we are searching for solar-related businesses in New York.

You should:
1. Perform the search manually in Google Maps for the keyword
2. Browse the results to confirm that it has the type and quantity of leads you want
3. If not, look at the business categories for additional keyword ideas:

In the above, we can see these additional keywords:
- Solar energy company
- Solar energy equipment supplier

Once you have identified the keywords that yield you the best results, simply perform the same search in LeadSwift. The beauty of LeadSwift is that you can perform searches for custom keywords. The dropdown keywords are only generic suggestions. You can enter any keyword you'd like, and press "enter" to select it:

Then, leave it to LeadSwift to capture all the businesses – plus, everything else you could possibly need to sell to them.
