How are emails prioritized?

It's difficult to know which email addresses are most important/relevant to our broad set of users.

Some only want email addresses of specific individuals (i.e. owners), in which case, they can filter by job titles. Others want generic email addresses, in which case they can use text filters. And some, just want us to decide for them.

For those who leave the decision to us, our ever-evolving algorithm currently prioritizes emails as follows:
1. Those in the most number of sources first (i.e. "google, website, database")
2. If tied or still more quota, these in order of importance: info@, contact@, hello@, hi@, hey@, office@, admin@, administrator@, me@, sales@, support@, help@, @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, @hotmail.com
3. If tied or still more quota, those found on the business website
4. If tied or still more quota, those found in social profiles (i.e. Facebook)
5. If tied or still more quota, all other emails

In the above algorithm, the "quota" is your setting for the "maximum emails per business". If you have it set to "1" for example, the email address found across the most sources is the one that will be selected. If you don't have a value set, all found email addresses for the business would be exported/contacted.

If you have specific needs, your own filters should always take precedence. For example, our algorithm gives no priority to email addresses of individuals (but this may be important to you).
